Not flashy, just very functional February 4, 2010

Let's be honest, this is not a flashy, hi-tech piece of equipment. The Allsop TV stand simply elevates your TV and allows you room to put a cable box, video game system, or DVD player underneath the TV if you are tight on space or just need to create more room.
I used the free shipping option and actually received it in only 3 business days! Packaging was very good; it came in the Allsop box, which was then packed into an Amazon.com box complete with extra filler material so the item would not move around during shipping.
The paint job was pretty good. The only reason I rated this product a 4 instead of a 5 was becase there were a few very slight chips in the paint detailing. I just turned this side away when mounting it so it was not a big deal.
The product is sturdy and was easily able to handle our 41-inch flatscreen without any difficulty. It blends very nicely with the surrounding furniture and electronics.
I would definitely recommend this product to others. The price was a little high, but considering I found nothing else like it, I thought it was worth it for that reason, if nothing else.

We needed this to remedy a problem with our new DVTV and new stand--the shelves were not wide enough to accomodate the satellite receiver. This stand was the perfect solution. It is fairly heavy, sturdy, and the receiver fit right under the tv. The dark walnut actually blended right in with the dark mahoganey tv stand and no one would know that we goofed, except now I'm telling the world. I think it would blend in with almost any decor. We ordered it on Thursday, received it on Friday through a trial month of Amazon Prime. I did look all over the internet for similar products and didn't find much at all, so I felt lucky to find something that worked so well.

I needed a TV stand for a 32in LCD TV for my bedroom. This TV was going on top of a bureau and I wasn't going to have any place to put the cable box. I was sure I could not put the TV on top of the box without potentially damaging the box and I did not want to mount the TV to the wall. I looked everywhere for something to put under the TV to support it above the components. This worked perfectly. The TV stand arrived in perfect condition (in a box, wrapped in plastic). Supports the 32inc TV easily. There is tons of room in the space under it for my HD cable box and I can even fit a thin Blue Ray player when I get one. The material does seem to scratch easily(for which I took away one star on the rating). We did put a small scratch on it but I covered it with a brown marker and I can't see it at all. Since it was my perfect solution, I am willing to overlook the finish easily scratching. I will just be very careful with it.

The shipping was so poor i'm surprised it arrived in as good as shape as it did. There are few comparable things on the market so I felt it was worth risking the other poor reviews. It arrived in one piece, not unblemished, but adequate. If you are looking for a pristine and flawless product, keep looking.
